1. Love Martini

by Sweet Tea & Thyme

Love Martini

What better way to start this list than with a cocktail called the Love Martini? This cocktail is a perfect pinkish-red hue in a beautiful cocktail glass, and the fresh strawberries as a garnish make it extra romantic.

To make the Love Martini, you need coconut rum, such as Malibu, peach schnapps, a little tart cranberry juice, and sliced strawberries. Put the liquid ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice, and shake well. Strain into a martini glass, add the fresh strawberries, and feel the love.

2. Hugs & Kisses Martini

by Home Is Where The Boat Is

Hugs & Kisses Martini

This Valentine’s Day cocktail is fun and sweet and is one of the best cocktail recipes for sharing with friends while binge-watching some romantic movies.

For this one, you need to find some fun Valentine’s candy sprinkles – like the ones you’d sprinkle on cookies. Then, add Godiva white chocolate liqueur, chocolate vodka, half & half, and chocolate syrup to your shopping list.

The key to this delicious drink is all in the presentation. We found it easiest to swirl the inside of the glasses with the chocolate syrup and then place them in the freezer for about ten minutes (you could also leave them in longer). Then, remove them from the freezer and rim the glass with more chocolate syrup, followed by the candies.

Mix the rest of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice, and pour it into your beautifully prepared glass.

3. Chocolate Cherry Martini for Two

by The Table

Chocolate Cherry Martini for Two

Chocolate cherries are one of those romantic candies that you might find in a giant box of chocolates. If you’d rather drink your Valentine’s treat, we suggest this Chocolate Cherry Martini made especially for two.

This Valentine’s Day cocktail is creamy and sweet. It’s decadent enough to serve as a dessert. You’ll need vodka, dark chocolate liqueur, dark cherry syrup, and half & half. You could also play with different vodka flavors and use vanilla, marshmallow, or cherry. Whatever you do, don’t forget the cherries for the garnish!

4.  Sweetheart Martini

by Nellie Bellie

Sweetheart Martini

The Sweetheart Martini is a gorgeous drink with subtle layers in a martini glass. Grenadine sits at the bottom, then grapefruit juice and gin create this sort of ombre effect in the glass. We like that this cocktail balances the sweetness of the grenadine with the gin and grapefruit juice.

Because this cocktail is layered, there’s no cocktail shaker involved. Just use the back of a spoon to help layer the liquids perfectly. Garnish with a cherry, strawberry, or a slice of grapefruit and clink glasses with your sweetheart before the first sip.

5. Love Potion #9 Martini

by The Cookie Rookie

Love Potion Martini

Love Potion #9 is probably the most popular Valentine’s Day cocktail recipe. It’s a tasty triple berry martini with the added fruitiness of pomegranate juice

For this berry pomegranate martini, you need strawberry vodka, Chambord black raspberry liqueur, fresh strawberries, and pomegranate juice. If you don’t have Chambord, some raspberry syrup will supply the flavor but will miss some depth and also the added alcohol content.

There’s one more secret ingredient to this love potion: a little dry ice trick. You want to handle the dry ice carefully, making sure not to touch it with your bare hands or let it touch your lips. But when you place the smallest bit of dry ice in your glass and then pour the cocktail over it, you get an amazing show that makes the drink look like a real love potion.

Make sure to let the dry ice dissolve completely before drinking this favorite of Valentine’s Day cocktails.

6. Blushing Kiss Martini

by Bakers Royale

Blushing Kiss Martini

We think the Blushing Kiss is the perfect Valentine’s Day cocktail, especially for those who like their drinks just a little sweet but not over the top. This cocktail also offers subtle floral notes, which lend a very romantic vibe to this special occasion drink.

To make the Blushing Kiss, you need your favorite gin, grapefruit juice, and elderflower liqueur. Next, add these three ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake and strain into chilled cocktail glasses. Garnish with a sprig of thyme and a juicy wedge of grapefruit,

7. Cupid’s Crush Peppermint Martini

by Monin

Cupid's Crush Peppermint Martini

By the time Valentine’s Day rolls around, you might be feeling a little over all the peppermint from the winter season. Still, we think that you’ll want to make an exception and embrace the mintiness of this Cupid’s Crush martini.

Vanilla vodka, white creme de cacao, heavy cream, and peppermint syrup combine to make this Cupid-approved lover’s cocktail. This cocktail is garnished with a rim of crushed peppermint candies, but we can totally see using chocolate or tiny pink and red candies instead.

8. Cupid’s Kiss Martini

by Living Lesh

Cupid's Kiss Martini

The Cupid’s Kiss is possibly one of our favorite Valentine’s Day drinks. The drink is garnished with a sprinkling of edible rose petals, which offers an incredibly romantic touch.

To make your Valentine’s Day extra special, combine rose vodka, elderflower liqueur, pomegranate, rose syrup, and lemon-lime soda or club soda. The only other thing you need is a cocktail shaker to make this incredibly easy drink that looks purely decadent.

9. Chocolate Martini

by Preppy Kitchen

Chocolate Martini

Chocolate and Valentine’s Day go hand in hand, which is why we love this ode to chocolate in a glass by Preppy Kitchen.

Surprise your favorite chocolate lover with this romantic cocktail, featuring Godiva chocolate liqueur, Irish creme, vodka, and some chocolate syrup to garnish. A sprinkling of chocolate shavings is the perfect finishing touch. This one is so perfect that you can probably skip the box of chocolates altogether.

10. Naked Martini

by Recipe Book

Naked Martini

There’s no rule that Valentine’s Day cocktails must be super sweet. Sometimes the sexiest drink is a classic cocktail, like the Naked Martini.

This is a simple, classic martini sans the vermouth. It’s also one of the absolute easiest drinks you could serve at your Valentine’s party. You can serve this shaken, stirred, or over ice. Garnish with a couple of olives or cocktail onions, and enjoy your naked after-dinner cocktail.

11. Sexy Hibiscus Martini

by Eat Something Sexy

Sexy Hibiscus Martini

This sexy Valentine’s Day cocktail features an unexpected ingredient. Apple puree is combined with hibiscus syrup and vodka in a shaker with ice. It’s an unexpected combination, but the apple puree doesn’t make this cocktail too thick as you think it might. Instead, it adds a nice, natural sweetness. For a beautiful and romantic presentation, garnish this cocktail with a real hibiscus flower.

12. Lotus Blossom Martini

by The Spruce Eats

Lotus Blossom Martini

The creator of the Lotus Blossom Martini at The Spruce Eats describes it as complex and delicate, which we also think perfectly describes many of the relationships that are celebrated on Valentine’s Day. Significant relationships are complex and meaningful, but sometimes they need to be handled a bit more delicately. The Lotus Blossom Martini honors that balance.

To make this for a special night, you need to muddle together lychee, simple syrup, and lime so that some of the lime juice is released. The flavors of pear vodka and sake complete the cocktail that’s sure to become a Valentine’s Day favorite.

13. Hank’s Naked Chocolate Martini

by Wine Enthusiast

Hank's Naked Chocolate Martini

Sometimes we’re suckers for a cocktail with a really fun name, so Hank’s Naked Chocolate Martini caught our eye. Unlike other chocolate martinis, this one doesn’t use any creamy chocolate liqueur. Instead, it’s simply vanilla vodka, and white creme de cacao served in a glass rimmed with shaved chocolate. We also think a couple of dashes of chocolate bitters is a nice touch.

14. Flame of Love Martini

by Whimsy Soul

Flame of Love Martini

According to the creator of the Flame of Love, the backstory involves Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and something about Beverly Hills. While the backstory is interesting, we’re more focused on what a fun and sexy Valentine’s martini this drink is.

The main components of this drink are vodka and sherry, but the orange used as the garnish is the real show stopper. We’re not talking about a little orange twist here. You flame sections of orange peel over the drink to release the natural oils, and then add one final flaming orange peel to the cocktail before serving. We also added a little orange liqueur or orange juice to the recipe, and it was heavenly.

15. Hot & Dirty Martini

by the Beaming Baker

Hot & Dirty Martini

Maybe you’d rather have a hot & dirty Valentine’s Day. In that case, we have one of the best Valentine’s Day cocktails for you.

This all starts innocently enough as a dirty martini, which is a classic martini that has olive juice or brine added. This, by the way, is the perfect excuse to splurge on that fancy jar of olives

The heat comes from a few dashes of hot sauce, but you could add a slice or two of fresh jalapeno to the martini shaker and take the heat up a notch!

16. Passion Fruit Martini

by Crowded Kitchen

Passion Fruit Martini

This Passion Fruit drink is one of the most delicious cocktails for a special date night, but it is also a party favorite when celebrating Cupid’s big day. It’s super refreshing and light and also goes down way too easily!

To make these cocktails, you need passion fruit vodka, pineapple juice, freshly squeezed lime juice, simple syrup, sparkling wine, and real passion fruits. Even if you have to hunt at a couple of different grocery stores for the passion fruit, the effort is worth it. Nothing replaces that fresh flavor, and this is a special occasion, after all!

17. Very Sexy Martini

by Liquor.com

Very Sexy Martini

The Very Sexy Martini is just the right amount of naughty and the right amount of sweet to be named one of our favorite Valentine’s Day cocktails. This drink is gorgeous in a glass and equally enjoyable to sip on slowly.

Citrus vodka, lime juice (although you could easily substitute fresh lemon juice here), sparkling wine, and simple syrup all mix with the flavors of mint leaves and fresh raspberries. Make up a batch of these, and Cupid is sure to pay you a visit.

18. Dirty & Spicy Martini

by Grey Goose

Dirty & Spicy Martini

The Dirty & Spicy Martini by Grey Goose is similar to the Hot & Dirty cocktail we mentioned earlier, but this one features both dry vermouth and high-quality olive brine. Tabasco sauce adds the heat but just enough to leave your lips a little tingly. A small pinch of salt is added to bring out all the flavors. This is one of those great savory Valentine’s Day cocktails you’ll want in your entertaining arsenal.

19. Pink Gin Martinis

by Martha Stewart

Pink Gin Martinis

Of course, the queen of entertaining herself will have something to contribute to our list of Valentine’s Day cocktails. This cocktail recipe highlights the flavors of gin, kirsch, white vermouth, and aromatic bitters. A little twist of lemon releases all the natural citrus essence into the drink, making it the perfect mix of citrus, fruit, and the botanical notes of the gin. Enjoy this over a leisurely conversation with someone special on Valentine’s Day.
